The center is capable of performing a wide variety of cosmetic surgeries that fit each patient’s separate needs. We perform face, neck, breast and thigh lifts as well as breast augmentation procedures, rhinoplasty (nose jobs), tummy tuck procedures, breast reduction, liposuction, administer injections for facial rejuvenation, and many more. Before any procedure is performed, we meet with every patient and go through some consultations. We will determine if cosmetic surgery is the right thing for you and your body and if so, what course of action we should take. Everybody’s body reacts differently to medical procedures, and we want to ensure that no harm is done to you. Patient safety and health are paramount to the way we operate.
Once we determine that your body and mind is healthy for plastic surgery, we will create and develop a detailed plan of action that is designed to meet the results that you are seeking. There are many differing procedures depending on the type of procedure you are looking for and at the end of the day we will choose the ones that best suit your needs.
If you decide to get some work done on your face, you may undergo a face lift. A facelift consists of small incisions that are strategically made on certain parts of the face to create a rejuvenating and youthful look. Traditional face-lifts are the most common and long-lasting. Other face lift procedures, such as the mini face-lift and the rejuvenation lift, are done as a ‘touch-up procedure’ after a traditional lift is performed. Mini and rejuvenation lifts consist of smaller incisions that are strategically placed to resolve or improve on a specific feature. Recovery time depends on the amount of work that is done but normally last about ten days with some discomfort.
Rhinoplasty is another procedure that can be done to rejuvenate the face. It is more commonly known as a nose job. Patients choose to undergo this procedure for a number of reasons that are both personal and medical. The procedure is not as extensive as performing facelifts. Each procedure is very different on a patient-to-patient basis. Normally, rhinoplasty involves one or two small incisions in either the nostrils or the skin that separates the nostrils. Recovery time is different for each patient, but normally you will experience some discomfort for a couple of days.
Facelifts and other facial rejuvenation procedures are the most popular procedures sought by our patients. However, mommy makeovers are becoming more and more popular around the nation, including in Tampa. Mommy makeover refers to series of procedures that can be done in conjunction with one another to rejuvenate a woman’s body after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Breast augmentation, breast lifts, tummy tuck, and thigh lifts are the most common types of procedures sought after by patients who are interested in mommy makeovers.
Breast augmentation is a procedure we can perform to increase volume and enhance shape. Sometimes manipulating the breast tissue is enough to increase volume and enhance shape. However, other times inserting implants is required. Either way, recovery time is very manageable and often patients experience so little discomfort that they do not require pain medication. On average patients can return to work between three to five days.
Tummy Tucks, also know as abdominoplasty, are performed to tighten the abdominal muscles, resulting in a trimmer waistline. Abdominoplasty procedures remove fatty tissues and strengthen or reattach the abdominal muscles. Often patients choose to undergo tummy tuck after pregnancy. During pregnancy, your abdominal muscles are stretched and often torn to the point where exercise can’t replace them. Tummy tucks reverse this damage and returns your abdominal region to the state it was in prior to pregnancy.
A frequent concern that patients have is that a tummy tuck will change their belly button and that the work done will be obvious. All concerns are welcome, but I can assure you that neither of these concerns is something to be worried. Tummy tucks do not make changes to the skin. Rather tummy tucks, make changes to the muscular strength and fatty tissue of your abdominal region. You will see a physical difference after a tummy tuck, but the change will be one that you were seeking.
Thigh lifts are popular procedures for women seeking mommy makeovers; however men seek out thigh lifts as well. Patients seek out thigh lifts to construct proportionality between their buttocks, abs, and legs. Often, patients who are seeking out thigh lifts have recently lost weight and are experiencing sagging skin in the thigh region. Thigh lifts can tighten the skin in this area, which reduces sagging, and creates proportionality in the lower half of your body.
In some cases, liposuction is done in conjunction with a thigh lift because the fatty tissue has to be removed. All thigh lift procedures require incisions, however, the type of incision, the amount, and placement of incisions differs for each patient. All patients undergoing this type of procedure will be sedated and will undergo a thorough exam prior to any procedure.
Recovery time differs per patient depending on the extent of the procedure. You should prepare for between two to three weeks of recovery with some discomfort. Patients who are not from the Tampa area should plan to stay in the area for ten days after the procedure. That ensures a smooth recovery and allow you to return to your normal routine as soon as possible.
